What is JRNBA?

 

The JRNBA is an entry-level basketball program which provides a fun, heathy and active learning environment for very young boys and girls. It combines fundamental basketball skills (e.g. dribbling, passing and shooting) with movement skills and important life skills, such as teamwork, respect and responsibility.

 

The JRNBA Program is there to offer a fun, healthy, and active learning environment for young boys and girls.
This program blends fundamental basketball skills—such as dribbling, passing, and shooting—with movement development and essential life skills like teamwork, respect, and responsibility.
Developed by NBA Basketball Operations and leading experts in child development, the program aligns with Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, ensuring age-appropriate learning and progression.

Each participant receives:

  • A JRNBA-branded jersey and basketball
  • A Canada Basketball membership
  • A Basketball Québec membership with insurance

 

All sessions and activities will be played on age-appropriate equipment (lowered basketball hoops in a smaller court with age appropriate basketballs) and will be modified to promote fun and learning.

 Program Details:
  • JRNBA Level 1: Ages 5–6 yrs (01/01/2020- 12/31/2021) - $225
  • JRNBA Level 2: Age 7 - 8 yrs (01/01/2018 - 12/31/2019) - $250
  • JRNBA Level 3: Ages 9–10 yrs (01/01/2016 - 12/31/2017) - $275
  • JRNBA - Girls: Ages 5 to 10 years (01/01/2016 to 12/31/2021) - $250

 

  • Duration: 12-week program.
  • 1 hour sessions every Sunday at John Rennie High School
  • 10am to 4pm

  • Refund Policy – JR NBA Program

    • No refunds will be issued on or after October 26, 2026.

    • Refund requests made before October 26, 2026 will be subject to a $50 administrative fee.

    • All refund requests must be submitted by email to: info@wilba.net
