LAKERS COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

Lakers competitive program provides male/female athletes from ages 8-18 an opportunity to play basketball at the highest levels of competition in Quebec.

• Selection Process: Players are selected during tryouts held from September 6th -16th 2022
• AA Teams Commitment: Three practices per week (3 x 90 min.), weekend games and tournaments
• AAA Teams Commitment: Three practices per week (3 x 90 min.), weekend games and tournaments
• Duration of program:  September to April
• Travelling: Teams travel to away games in Greater Montreal Area or to locations around the province
• Cost: Tryout fee is $20, and Season fee is $560

 

FACTS ABOUT LAKERS COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

A high level of commitment is expected from players selected to LAKERS competitive teams.

• Players are expected to attend all practices, games and tournaments
• There is no such thing as equal participation on a competitive team, some players play more than others
• If playing time is an issue for you, then please register for our competitive House League program
• Coaches oversee players development, overall strategies and game management
• Parents demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect toward all players, game officials, and coaches
• We scout for Intercity players directly from our House League Program right after the winter break. We'll be giving deserving players the privilege to pratice with one of our Intercity teams to improve their skills and basketball IQ.
